6th Singapore CLO Awards 2022

The Singapore Corporate Counsel Association (SCCA) hosted its 6th Chief Legal Officer (CLO) Awards reception at the Sinfonia Ristorante on 10th November 2022. The Awards recognises Chief Legal Officers who have made outstanding contributions to their respective companies, businesses, or organisations. The reception was attended by over exclusively-invited 60 counsels, comprising past CLO Award winners, finalists, and many top General Counsels across different organisations.

The nominations that came through this year featured strong contestants with top finalists in each category including the likes of individuals from HSBC, EY, and Bollore in the MNC category; SPH, SIA, and ESR in the Singapore Business category; NUS, MOH, and CAAS in the Public Sector category.  

The Guest-of-Honour for the event was Attorney General Mr Lucien Wong, who graced the occasion with his presence together with our esteemed panel of judges for this year’s CLO Awards. Notable Sponsors for the event included PwC, DLA Piper, Drew and Napier as well as Forte Law.

The winner from the MNC category was swept away by Mr Antony Lee from HSBC, followed by Ms Ginney Lim from SPH who took the top spot for the Singapore Business category. Special recognitions in the Public Sector category were also handed out to Ms Diane Fletcher from NUS, Ms Tan Siew Huay from CAAS and Mr Tan Sze Yao from MOH.

SCCA's Co-Presidents Daniel Choo and Renita Sophia Crasta jointly stated that ''We are most pleased to recognise the amazing efforts of our fellow legal counsels across the various industries. It has been a challenging time indeed for all our businesses, but in-house counsels continue to pivot and do our best to assist our companies to navigate these challenging times.
